This is T.I.'s second song with the name "Whatever You Like". The first was "Whatever U Like" by Nicole Scherzinger, which featured T.I. The single was released digitally on August 19, 2008. "Whatever You Like" was produced by Jim Jonsin, the producer of Lil Wayne's song "Lollipop". Both songs have similar elements including the lead synthesizers, drum pattern, and a memorable chorus.

The next week, the song rose to the eleventh position, but experienced a drop to fifteen the week after, staying there for two additional weeks.
