3 Easy Ways to Prevent Snoring

Everyone snores from time to time. After all, snoring is a natural occurrence due to the relaxed muscles in your throat during sleep. At some point, one of your family members or your partner complained about your snoring the night before. They probably teased you about it too. 

 However, it turns out that snoring is one of the most common problems across all ages and genders. As a matter of fact, according to research from the National Sleep Foundation, it affects roughly 90 million adults in the United States. 37 of those 90 million are actually chronic snorers. 

A severe snore can actually do a lot of harm. For instance, it can disrupt your sleep pattern, cause insomnia, and if you’re married, even lead to a divorce. 1. Stop Drinking Alcohol before Bed

Also, you can use a saline solution to rinse your sinuses every night before bed.

When you’re buying the saline solution, you have to make sure it’s sterile. So if you don’t want to spend money and decide to make your own solution, make sure to use bottled or distilled water. What’s more, if you have any allergies, you should try taking antihistamines to treat your sinus congestion.

During sleep, your jaw and tongue naturally slip back a little. This closes your airway and as you assume, creates snoring sounds.
