The Many Benefits of Gummy Bear Implants |
Thursday, 04 March 2021 | |
While traditional silicone and saline implants can be highly effective in certain situations, you might want to take a closer look at gummy bear implants if you have been considering breast augmentation surgery. Those cutting-edge implants can produce astounding results that look and feel just like natural tissue, and they often last for 10 years or longer in healthy patients. If you would like to enjoy fuller breasts that look and feel amazing, then you might be an ideal candidate for gummy bear implants. A Look at Gummy Bear ImplantsThe breast augmentation before and after pictures should show you just how amazing the results of this procedure can be, and gummy bear implants have quickly become one of the most popular materials for this operation. Traditional silicone and saline implants are still great options for many people, but some patients would like an implant that is slightly more durable and natural. Gummy bear implants are made from a cohesive silicone gel that holds its shape, and that is going to make your breasts feel very natural. As an added bonus, gummy bear implants are also very durable, and they typically hold their shape even if the outer shell becomes damaged.
The Gummy Bear Implant ProcedureAfter you have gone over some breast augmentation before and after photos and done a little bit of research online, you will then need to contact your surgeon for the initial appointment. That consultation is extremely important because it will give your surgeon the opportunity to look over your medical history and screen you for any medical conditions that could complicate this procedure. You are also going to be given plenty of time to ask any questions you might have about gummy bear implants or the procedure as a whole.
On the day of the operation, you should plan on spending at least three or four hours at the surgical center, and a loved one must be ready to take you home. This operation is typically carried out with a general anesthetic, but some patients are given a local anesthetic and strong oral sedative. Once you have been sedated, one small incision will be made near each of the breasts. Your surgeon can then place the implants in small cavities in the chest before suturing the incisions. After you get home from your procedure, you should be ready to spend at least a few days in bed while your soft tissue heals.
Your RecoveryFully recovering from this operation typically takes at least five or six weeks, but you might be able to move around on your own after four or five days. During the first few days, you must plan on spending most of your time in bed recovering. When the swelling and discomfort have gone down, you should be able to move around on your own as long as you are very careful. During your follow-up appointment, your surgeon will give you further instructions regarding your recovery. As a general rule, most patients can resume all activities after the sixth week as long as they aren’t experiencing any post-op complications.
Which Implants Are Right for Me?Determining which implant material is right for you will come down to your preferences and overall cosmetic goals. There isn’t a single implant material that works for everyone, and that is why you will need to take a close look at some breast augmentation before and after pictures and consult with an experienced cosmetic surgeon.
