Did you know your bathroom is the main source of infection causing bacteria?

And you need a solid cleaning solution to get rid of your bathroom lurking bacteria for the wellbeing of you and your family.

Sharing below are some tips that will not only help eliminating bacteria but will also make every inch of your bathroom sparkle. These tips are given and being done by NW Maids Cleaning Services.

Cleaning supplies

For effective cleaning, you need a range of cleaning supplies to ensure deep cleaning of your bathroom.
  • Mircofiber cloth
  • Water and vinegar solution in a spray bottle.
  • Essential oils (if you want your bathroom to smell nice).
  • Steam cleaner (optional).
  • Bathroom cleaner (1 part vinegar with 1 part of dish soap).
  • Scrubber (scotch brite is a good choice).
  • Baking soda
  • Floor mop and a bucket

  • Take a plastic grocery bag, fill it with white vinegar
(enough to fully immerse the shower head nozzle) and tie it around your shower nozzle for an overnight soaking. Remove it in the morning and run the water to rinse.

  • Wash plastic shower curtains and liners in your washing machine, just giving them a spin is enough. Use your regular detergent and make sure you also throw in your old towels, which act as scrubbers to help get rid of soap scum or any mold or fungus. Rehang to dry.
  • Now it’s time to clean your shower doors, combine a few drops of distilled white vinegar to a cup of baking soda; form a thick mixture and apply it directly to the door. Let the mixture sit for an hour. Once the mixture is dry, Rinse and make use of a fresh, dry microfiber cloth to buff dry.
  • Now it’s time to clean your tub which isn’t an issue—usually, a weekly scrubbing is quite enough. But to make it extra shiny, fill it with hot water for around 15 minutes, then drain. Apply a nice bathroom cleaner, leave it for some time (minimum 15 minutes) then scrub it off.
  • Get a multipurpose cleaner and generously spray on your tile, countertops, walls and the ceiling. Next, turn on the hot water tap and let steam build (about five minutes). Now, turn off the water, shut the door on your way out. Let the steam and the cleaner work their magic for 20 minutes. Finally, wipe clean all the surfaces with a clean cloth. Wipe the floor only when you have finished cleaning the rest of the bathroom. You can make your floor even better with floor buffing machine.
  • Now it’s time to clean your toilet. Begin with pouring a cup of baking soda into the bowel. Let it sit for 15 minutes to half an hour. Then, brush and flush and you will have a brand new toilet.
  • Once you are done with shower and toilet, now it’s time to pay attention to the bathroom sink. Use either white vinegar or baking soda and then flush your sink with hot water. You can also use disposable infecting wipes, they work better in reducing bacteria than a cloth. Some experts even found the traces of toilet bacteria living in the kitchen sink. Hence it’s necessary to disinfect your bathroom sink if not regularly, then at least once in a while.
  • Lastly use essential oils. Pour a few drops in bathroom sink and tub. This will leave your bathroom smelling nice.

Using the above mentioned tips will deep clean your washroom, and disinfect from all kind of bacteria.
