There’s no denying that different people carry different types of energy. People are attracted to other people’s energies when they first meet, or feel uncomfortable around certain others, and discerning the reasons why isn’t always easy. But, with a little practice, you can learn how to read the energy of others at a glance. This is an extraordinarily valuable skill when it comes to understanding yourself and why people behave the way they do around you.
You can learn to gauge the moods and feelings of others without asking them how they’re doing, but by observing their energy instead. Start by focusing on your intuition and listening to your gut feeling, as opposed to trying too hard to make sense of it logically. A lot of people can feel preoccupied with trying to work out exactly what it is they’re picking up on and why which can be absolutely overwhelming. Instead, start by noticing whether you’re feeling tired, cranky, or irritable around someone.
Pay attention to whether you’re finding yourself frowning, or if your shoulders feel tense. Maybe you’re feeling excited, cheerful, or happy around them? You might find that you can take an educated guess as to why someone’s energy is the way it is depending on what mood you’re in yourself. When reading someone else’s energy, think of yourself as an open vessel that’s picking up on their energy. Your feelings and emotions will change based upon what you’re taking in from others – so if someone is enthusiastic around you, chances are that your mood will lift in response to this.
Compassion
Compassion is the ability to see things from another person’s perspective. When you’re compassionate towards someone, chances are that their energy will mirror this and they’ll feel supported by you too. It’s almost as if you’re giving them a metaphorical hug which is sure to make anyone feel cared for and valued. But, on the other hand, if a person feels judged or misunderstood by you, their energy will most likely get defensive and they’ll simply try to defend themselves. If you’re unable to see things from their perspective, chances are they’ll get frustrated by this and might even be less likely to open up in the future when they feel like you don’t understand them.
Deep Listening
When someone is feeling uncomfortable with you, chances are the first words out of their mouth will be negative ones. This is because they’re feeling bombarded by your energy and unsure as to whether or not they can trust you. If you were in their position, this would probably happen to you too, so it’s important to check in with those around you often enough so you don’t come across as overbearing or imposing. Deep listening is the ability to allow someone to express how they’re feeling without interjecting with your own opinions, suggestions, or solutions. It’s about truly understanding their words and taking them on board.
Sometimes, taking a Soul Reading can help you understand where your energy is coming from, and the best action to take in response. We all have a soul that’s trying to guide us in the right direction, but we’re often too preoccupied with our own lives to listen properly. It can be difficult to silence the conscious mind while we’re awake and moving around, but it’s the only way we can start really hearing what our soul is trying to tell us.
