5 Ways To Encourage Yourself To Drink More Water |
Thursday, 02 June 2022 | |
We all know we should be drinking more water; but something stops us from keeping on top of it. Maybe it’s because water is quite tasteless, or maybe it’s due to the fact that there are so many more interesting drinks out there. Studies say that 8 glasses a day should be the minimum, but it’s always easier said than done. But from custom labeled bottled water to apps that can remind you to drink at regular intervals, it’s becoming a lot easier than ever to make sure you’re hydrated and healthy. If you're a person that never prefers water, or you're someone that never has h20 around when you need it, here are some fun ways to increase your daily water intake. 1. Get a cool bottle
As mentioned above, a cool, a customized and colorful bottle is a great way to make drinking water a better experience. Try getting yourself a water bottle which has labels on it, detailing how much you have to drink by a certain time. Or, maybe purchase a reusable wide mouth water bottle with colors and prints to attract your eye. If you don’t want to buy a water bottle, you could also try drawing on one you already have. Be creative with it- there’s so many prints and patterns you could use to make your bottle your own. Many people started using water filtration systems to be sure they're drinking the cleanest water without any pollution. Having water ionizers in your home saves your money since keeping the average family hydrated with bottled water eventually comes with huge monthly expenses. If you'd like to learn more about it, you should take a look at the Tyent water ionizer review that can help you understand the benefits of filtration systems.
2. Add fruit
A classic, fool-proof way to drink more water, while receiving the added benefits of extra vitamins, is adding cut up fruit to your water to make it taste better, look more appealing, and give you a healthy boost in the process.
Lemons, oranges, blueberries, even cucumber and mint are all ways to get your water tasting so good that you’ll want more.
Make sure to clean your bottle thoroughly after you’re finished.
3. Get your intake through teas
It’s proven that tea actually is quite hydrating, with or without caffeine. Of course, the better option is to get yourself some caffeine-free herbal teas- peppermint, raspberry, mint…anything you like! Teas are a great way to get more water in your body without forcing the process.
Teas are also an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. They’re also super restorative and comforting during the winter months. This is a great way to make sure you’re getting health, hydration and flavor all in one.
4. Set a timetable/alarm
This one is a little strenuous, but worth it- set an alarm or keep a timetable for the intervals when you should be drinking water. This is perfect if you tend to be quite busy/active/on-the-go as it allows you to remain organized and keep on top of your water intake.
Try an apps that can also assist you with your h20 intake- these are a great idea, since they do pretty much all of the work for you.
5. Do some research
Looking up the health benefits of drinking water is a great way to kick you into gear. Because, honestly, water is a magical thing. We have it so readily available and it provides us with so many different benefits: from making our skin glow to ensuring our organs work at their optimum level, staying hydrated is a game-changer.
So, do your research, look up all the pros, and go replenish your bottle.
Make Yourself Increase Your Intake
Make sure you’re on top of your hydration game. Even if you're someone that never craves water, it is so important to revitalize and refresh your entire body with at least a cup of h20 every few hours. Keep that bottle on you to encourage yourself to drink up!
Now that you are motivated, keep in mind that you should only drink clean water. Use a filter like the Pur classic faucet mount water filter if you drink from the tap for a healthier hydration. |
