Are you stuck at home on lockdown? Here are some of the most Bingeworthy shows out there to watch during the COVID-19 crisis.

 We’re all in lockdown.

After working from home, walking the dog, and baking too much banana bread, what will you do next? Give yourself a break and get lost in some amazing television. There are some seriously binge-worthy shows to get lost in, from dramas to comedies.

Not sure where to start? Whether you’re into Netflix, PBS, NBC, or Hulu, there are amazing shows, both new and old, to be found.

We’ve done the hard work and gone through them all to find you the best binge-worthy shows to watch now — read on to discover our top recommendations.

1. Homeland

If you haven’t been watching Homeland, now is the perfect time to dive in. This tense drama will have you on the edge of your seat, and it’s impossible to stop at just one episode. Claire Danes, in a brilliant performance as feisty CIA operative Carrie Mathison, tracks terrorists across the world in a suspenseful game of cat and mouse.

Trying to balance a career while managing inner struggles, with a bit of love thrown in for good measure, is something we can all relate to.

2. Mad Men

Is there anyone more suave than sharply-dressed Don Draper? Travel back in time to New York’s advertising industry of the 1950s and 60s, with a fantastic cast including Jon Hamm, Elizabeth Moss, and January Jones.

The tensions between Don and his wife Betty and Peggy’s drive to succeed as a woman in a man’s world are hard to pull away from. Grab a martini and settle in for one of the best tv shows to stream.

3. The Good Place

This American comedy, from NBC, delights with talent including Kristen Bell and Ted Danson.

Fall down the rabbit hole into The Good Place, in which those who pass away find themselves in utopia-like heaven, even if they were brought there as a case of mistaken identity. Expect a lot of laughs from this fantastic show, and maybe a tear or two.

4. Tiger King

If you’ve seen the Tiger King memes all over the internet, but don’t know what it’s all about, drop whatever you’re doing now, head over to Netflix, and start watching now.

This documentary, filmed over five years, looks at the exotic animal trade in the US. Although the tigers are almost overshadowed by a larger-than-life cast of characters, including the star, zoo owner Joe Exotic, murder for hire, drama, and jealousy.

You’ll have quite a few jaw-dropping moments when binging this one, but the take-home message is a serious one — private ownership of tigers and large cats and breeding tiger cubs for entertainment is wrong and needs to end.

5. Downton Abbey

The owners of Downton Abbey have tragically died in the sinking of the Titanic- who is now the rightful heir of this stately home? Downton Abbey, a PBS drama set in the 1910s, quickly pulls you in with its dramatic storylines, relatable characters, and cliffhanger endings.

However, it’s also an artistic masterpiece, featuring stunning period costumes and amazing scenery, with filming taking place at Highclere Castle, an unbelievable 17th century English manor home.

6. Breaking Bad

There’s no better way to pass the time in lockdown than tuning into Breaking Bad — there’s so much detail in this show, even if you’ve seen it before, it’s worth a second watch to pick up on things you may have missed.

Follow along with Bryan Cranston in his Emmy award-winning performance as Walter White, a mild-mannered science teacher turned conniving, formidable meth kingpin. His transition from good to evil and his struggles along the way provide over seasons of suspense, intrigue, and drama.

7. Stranger Things

Stranger Things, a 1980’s coming of age, sci-fi drama, is one of the best shows to come from Netflix in recent years. When a supernatural occurrence lands in small-town America, it’s up to the young cast of characters to solve the mystery and save the town.

Young love, secret government experiments, Dungeons & Dragons, and 1980s fashion will take you back in time in this nostalgic and heartwarming drama.

8. Parks and Recreation

If you’re looking for one of the best tv series on Hulu Plus, Parks and Recreation is one to check out. Follow along with an eccentric and hilarious group of employees who (sometimes begrudgingly) work for the local Parks and Recreation department in their small town.

Over-enthusiastic bureaucrat Leslie Knope, played by Amy Poehler, gets into all sorts of funny situations with co-workers including grumpy office manager Ron Swanson, likable Andy Dwyer, played by Chris Pratt, and larger-than-life, ‘treat yo self’ Tom Haverford, played perfectly by comedian Aziz Ansari.

9. The Morning Show

The Morning Show is a fantastic drama. This award-winning drama, featuring the lives of reporters on a morning tv show, has an incredible A-list cast, including Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carrell, and Reese Witherspoon. Not a morning person? That’s ok- this show is a delight at any time of the day.

Here’s how to watch the Morning Show without Apple TV, giving you access to the bingeworthytv episodes anytime you like.

10. Big Little Lies

Pass away the hours in the luxury California seaside town of Monterey. However, the beautiful town and its wealthy residents hide a dark secret- a death of one of their own. Behind the day to day school pick-up runs, the Emmy-award winning cast, including Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, and Zoë Kravitz battle personal and public struggles in Big Little Lies as they deal with the tragedy.

Get lost in their world of secrets, infidelity, violence, and loss in this aesthetically pleasing, stunning drama.
